The Panch Kedar  Tour Package

The Panch Kedar refers to five sacred temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. These temples are considered some of the holiest pilgrimage sites for Hindus, particularly for those following the Shaivism tradition. The five temples are:
1. Kedarnath:
Located in the Kedarnath region, this is the most famous of the Panch Kedar temples. It is situated at an altitude of around 3,580 meters in the Himalayas and is dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form as the "Lord of the Kedar valley."
2. Tungnath:
Situated at an altitude of 3,680 meters, Tungnath is the highest Shiva temple in the world. It is located near Chopta in Uttarakhand and is dedicated to the arm of Lord Shiva.
3. Rudranath:
Rudranath Temple is located at an altitude of 2,286 meters in the Rudranath region of Uttarakhand. It is associated with the face (Mukha) of Lord Shiva and is known for its scenic beauty.
4. Madhyamaheshwar:
This temple is located at an altitude of 3,490 meters in the Madhyamaheshwar valley and is dedicated to the navel (Nabhi) of Lord Shiva. It is one of the most peaceful and less crowded among the Panch Kedar temples.
5. Kalpeshwar:
Situated at an altitude of 2,200 meters in the Kalpeshwar valley, this temple is dedicated to the matted hair (Jata) of Lord Shiva. It is the last of the Panch Kedar temples and is easily accessible among the five.

• KedarnathKedarnath temple is one of the sacred pilgrimage centre in Northern India, located on the bank of Mandakini river at an altitude of 3584 meters above sea level. The historical name of this region is ''Kedar Khand''. Kedarnath temple is a part of Char Dhams and Panch Kedar in Uttarakhand and one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva in India. Kedarnath is flanked by breathtaking snow-capped peaks, making it the most remote site among all four Char Dham Shrines . But each year the followers of Lord Shiva visit this holy temple. The scenic beauty of Kedarnath town attracts lots of tourists from all over the world. You will find it quite crowded during the summer season (May and June). In the month of April to August thousands of devotees come to visit the Kedarnath Temple. During Winter season , Kedarnath is closed for six month due to Heavy snowfall and Extreme Cold weather.

• RudraprayagThe famed town of Rudraprayag is named after the Rudra avatar of Lord Shiva. This heavenly town is encircled by the emerald lakes, glaciers, foaming rivers and silver streams. The pristine town of Rudraprayag is nestled on the holy confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers, at 34 km from Srinagar (Garhwal). It is perched at an average elevation of 895 metres about 2,936 feet above sea level.Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayag or five confluences of Alaknanda River. Rudraprayag is blessed with nature's bounty, the climate of which depends upon the height of the region.

• GuptkashiGuptkashi is situated 47kms before the holy shrine of Lord Shiva, Kedarnath. It is located on the route to Kedarnath on a ridge on the west side of the Mandakini river valley at an elevation of 1,319mts above sea level. Guptkashi is a religiously important town of Uttarakhand as it houses ancient temples like Vishwanath temple and Ardhnareshwar temple.The centermost attraction of Guptkashi town, Manikarnika Kund is a place where two streams of the Ganga and Yamuna meet. Gaurikund, the town from where the trek to Kedarnath commences is situated 34kms ahead of Guptkashi. Guptkashi is situated on the mountain facing Ukhimath town.

• ChoptaChopta is a picturesque hamlet which is still unexplored by travelers, is also famous as Mini Switzerland of Uttarakhand. Wake up with cool salubrious breeze and chirping of birds in Chopta which is a far cry from the blaring horns of the cities and other hill stations, morning view from Chopta is invigorating when the crimson rays of sun kisses the snow-laden Himalayas.This hushed abode is enclosed by the dwindling pines, deodars, rhododendrons and other conifers that can be found in this region, which makes Chopta rich in flora and fauna.The base camp of treks like Tugnanath, Deoria Tal and Chandrashila, Chopta is an ideal destination for intermediate trekkers to go on a guided trek and brush up their skills. Chopta promises a life-altering expansion of your boundaries.The third temple of Panch Kedar is located in Tugnanath, around 3.5 km away from Chopta. Camping in the open grassy meadows of Chopta that slopes on softly, among alpine, pine, deodar and rhododendron trees is soul-fulfilling. The snow-covered peaks of Trishul, Nanda Devi and Chaukhambha dominate the panoramic views seen in Chopta.
